Forgiveness Dwells in the Hearts of the Rich

An angel came to me yesterday,

I prayed that with me she would stay.

I could not see the light of day,

And with me she agreed to pray.

An angel held me close to sleep,

She stroked my hair and let me weep.

The angel I wish I were able to keep,

The angel I wish would keep me asleep.

An angel forgave me for all of my wrongs,

She loved me and helped me feel I belong.

That angel she loves now that I sleep,

That angel she holds me still while I still sleep.
