When Time Runs Out

There are only ten things you need to do,

Only one of them pertains to you.

Nine are chores that should be done,

You only have a 30 minute run.

Laundry for guests takes only 10

While cooking and cleaning will be your end.

20 minutes now you clock is still ticking

There is no time for perfect food picking.

10 minutes to go and now you’re in deep,

You’re flailing the the broom in a hurry to sweep.

No one will see under the stove

Where all of the dust is certain to go.

You’re out of time and most chores are done,

The few that remain are simple ones.

You rest on the couch and put up your feet,

Now you have 5 hours to sleep.
