Untitled (Writers Block)

Gabriel clenched his teeth feeling the enamel slide. He took a deep breath, relaxed his jaw, and seethed. “You have two choices,” he said, “you can leave on your feet or on a gurney.”

Taken aback by his anger, Vanessa felt her lower lip starting to quiver. Gabriel had never spoken to her in such a threatening manner, one that didn’t just threaten her integrity but her life as well. She felt the edges of her lips curl into a smile as she met his eyes, locking their gaze.

“Oh?” Vanessa teased, shifting her hips slightly. “And what are you going to do if I don’t go?”

She traced the tips of her fingers down his chest and stepped closer, letting her body press against him.

“What are you going to do if you don’t want me to go?” She teased again.

Gabriel stared down at the small woman feeling blood pool in his mouth from his clenched jaw. He felt his hands tighten into fists as he took a direct step backwards and away from the woman. His eyes scanned the room for a moment before falling back on her.

“You’re a whore, Vanessa.” Gabriel spit, letting both blood and words fall to the floor. “You think I would be so naïve to believe that bastard could be mine?”

Vanessa let the words fall flat and smiled.

“Yes, in fact I did. How could I know I’d be video-taped by your sister?” Vanessa hissed.

“You brought him to your house!” Gabriel yelled, shifting his eyes around the room. He felt his hands start to shake as he struggled with the image of seeing Vanessa and Antonio’s sex tape again. “You are just a whore.”

“No see, that’s where you’re wrong.” Vanessa sighed, looking down at the splatter of blood. She followed the blood trail with her eyes, shifting her hips. “I’m no whore, you are just not a man.” She explained, her tone seeping with disgust. “You put your family above me and my needs so I put a man below me.”

Gabriel winced, his mind racing with images of Vanessa with Antonio. He shifted his weight onto his heels and turned towards the door.

“I’m done, Vanessa. If you won’t leave, I will.” He spat, taking a step.
