When the night is still the baby wakes,
Fulfilling dreams with sleep she takes,
My worrisome heart trembles and quakes,
But my legs stand strong for her.
Uprooted from the world I’ve known,
Bruised and scarred and yet not alone,
Fighting for them and everything shown,
My dreams are just within reach.
A life that’s been stripped of every smile,
Began in a haste of boxes and piles,
Stunned and shaking trudging these trials,
To walk down my path without fear.
